Kay Sade To Drop '111' EP

by Eric Boston @EricBoston3

Kay Sade is kicking off the decade with a brand new EP

After the release of the album 'Meta' and positive response in 2019, the gifted artist is again looking to cement her status within CHH.

'111' is set to release on Saturday, January 11, 2020.

This marks the anniversary of the start of TheKnuBlack's disbandment and the beginning of the reimagining of her music. The title '111' is also an abstract representation of rebirth and the oneness of God in the Trinity.

The six-song project includes production from BeatsCraze, Ric & Thadeus, and Kay Sade herself. Sade takes the listener through topics of boldness in Christ, submission to God's will, hope after life's storms, and the knowledge that trusting in the Lord's power can turn the tide of any situation, truly allowing one to "soar on wings like eagles" (Isaiah 40:31).

The lead track, "Intellitrap", is reminiscent of TheKnuBlack's debut song "QU" and it serves as an homage to the group as well as an emergence into Sade's new sound. "Hey Arnold!" is a conversational piece that lightens the mood with colorful harmonies and a cherry bounce.

I'm going to be honest, 'Meta' was perhaps my favorite project of 2019 and, after an early listen, '111' is going to be in that conversation for 2020 without question.
